Hydrostatic Weighing Procedure

Do not schedule a test if you have any lung or pulmonary disorders, including the common cold or influenza.

Ideal time for testing is first thing in the morning 8-12 hours after eating and exercise.

Avoid caffeine (coffee, candy, soda) and other nonessential stimulants like ephedrine, for at least 12 hours prior to testing.

Try to avoid feeling stressed and be as relaxed as possible prior to testing. Stress often causes tense muscles, requiring more calories to keep the muscles activated or tensed.

Cancellations
If you choose to cancel for any reason, you must call the facility where testing is being held within 12 hours of your test, to receive a full refund.

Tardiness
You must be on time for your scheduled test. If you show up late for your scheduled test time, you will have to wait until the next available time slot. No exceptions. Expect total test time to be approximately 15-20 minutes.

Risk and Discomfort
If you are prone to dry mouth you may experience some discomfort. However, this discomfort is only momentary, lasting only a couple of minutes.

Inquires
Questions about the procedures used in the physical fitness test are encouraged. If you have any questions or need additional information, please ask us to explain further.

Freedom of Consent
